TAO
Luxembourg-based #edtech #scaleup Open Assessment Technologies S.A. (OAT) is the provider of TAO, the leading open-source digital assessment solution for education and career advancement. TAO has achieved exceptional growth and is now being used nationwide by Ministries of Education such as France, Italy, Norway, Lithuania and the UK, and by leading school districts such as New York City. More recently, TAO has been selected as OECD – OCDE’s platform of choice to deliver the PISA 2025 assessment program in more than 80 countries. In the course of last year, we at Park 56 teamed up with OAT’s founders and shareholders to assess their strategic options. Founders and management were keen to further accelerate the technology roadmap, expand the SaaS business and further expand globally, and today we are proud to announce that this has been achieved with a sale to listed Japanese edtech group Uchida Yoko, who will invest in TAO Studio, OAT’s next-generation assessment design solution.
It has been an honor for us to support yet another global pioneer in the rapidly evolving edtech world and we would like to congratulate Marc Oswald, Miguel Angel Prieto Jara, Ashley Senkarik, Tamer Aidek, Patrick Plichart and everyone else at OAT. We would also like to thank the key selling shareholders Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST), ACT and Cito for their trust in us and for the great cooperation.
